The existing Building is approximately 96 feet x 50 feet, the project including but not limited to, construction of Office, Bathroom, Storage and Mechanical Rooms, insulation, sheetrock, install propane heater, bathroom fixtures, well, septic tank, 2' x 4' LED lights, wire, electric baseboard, conduits, and other related work. The bid must be accompanied by a certified/cashier's check or Bid Bond in favor of Elmhurst Township, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid amount. Bidders must submit with their bids all forms listed in the Attachments to Plans and Specifications. Elmhurst Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days. If written notice of the acceptance of this Bid is mailed or delivered to the undersigned within sixty (60) days after the opening thereof, or at any time thereafter before the Bid is withdrawn, the undersigned agrees to execute and deliver the Agreement in the form prescribed by Elmhurst Township or forfeit said Bid Security. State Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to his contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, and related matters. It is the intent of these specifications and accompanying drawings to describe all the materials, labor, equipment and method of construction necessary for the Elmhurst Township Municipal Garage Project. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, machinery, apparatus, and tools and perform all operations necessary to install, equip, adjust and put into satisfactory operation, the work specified and shown on the Drawings, and shall connect the various items or sections of the work to form a complete and properly operations whole. Any labor, materials, equipment, or apparatus not specifically mentioned herein or shown on the Drawings, which may be necessary for the proper completion of the entire work or of the individual items thereof, within the intent of these Specifications and Drawings, shall be furnished by the Contractor without additional compensation. Each Bidder should visit the site ofthe proposed work and fully acquaint himself with existing conditions relating to construction and labor, and shall fully inform himself as to the facilities involved, the difficulties and restrictions attending the performance ofthe Contract. The Bidder should thoroughly examine and familiarize himselfwith the drawings, Technical Specifications, and all other Contract Documents. The Contractor by the execution ofthe Contract shall in no way be relieved of any obligations under it due to his failure to receive or examine any form or legal instrument or to visit the site and acquaint himselfwith the conditions there existing and the Owner will be justified in rejecting any claim based on facts regarding which he should have been on notice as a result thereof.
