Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fremont, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project is more specifically defined in the Contract Documents, but generally includes the following items of work: Furnish and maintain traffic control throughout the period of construction; maintain pedestrian barricades and detour pedestrian traffic around the work area; demolish and dispose of existing improvements including asphalt pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb access ramp, medians; construct bicycle/pedestrian protected intersection improvements, remove right turn slip lane at California Street intersection, install a RRFB system at California Street and Walnut Avenue intersection, relocate storm drain inlets, install landscape strip area and upgrade median landscaping; upgrade existing curb access ramp, place hot mix asphalt concrete pavement, apply a slurry seal treatment, install striping and pavement markings. There may be other items of work not mentioned above that are shown on the plans and required by the State Standard Specifications and/or the Special Provisions.
