Reference Number 0000263482 Pricing Lump sum 1 The Winnipeg School Division requires the services of a contractor to provide start up, shut down, cleaning and repair to Air Conditioning equipment at various Winnipeg School Division Facilities. 2 The contract will be based on bid prices, hourly rates, mark up on parts and past experience provided by the Contractor and terms and conditions as defined in Section 00 72 00 General Conditions, 01 00 00 General Requirements for a one (1) year contract commencing May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025. With the Division's option to execute an extension of the contract for a 2nd and 3rd year (at any time) as per the offer provided in the Bid Form, based on past experience and/or performance of the Contractor's work in the first year if satisfactory to the Division. The Division may choose to negotiate a further option of an additional three (3) year contract extension prior to the expiration of the agreement. Bids shall be accompanied by a company bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid price. The bonds shall be in the form annexed hereto. The condition of the bid bond is that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder shall sign a contract for the doing of work within three (3) days after being called upon to do so by the Owner. The form of such bonds shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the CCDC approved bond forms. Bid bonds shall be signed and sealed by both the bidder's duly authorized officers and the bonding company's duly authorized officer. The contractor shall provide and pay for an approved company performance bond in the amount of the fifty percent (50%) of the contract price within seven (7) days after being called upon to do so by the Owner. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to provide their bonding company with a copy of the Owner's bid form to ensure the bonding requirements as set forth therein are complied with. This bond shall be signed and sealed by both the bidders duly authorized officers and the bonding company's duly authorized officer. 1 A Certificate Verifying Liability Insurance Coverage for Any Loss or Damage That May Arise to Any Person or Property Resulting From the Operations of the Bidder, or His Subtrades, With Respect to the Work, Including All Welding, Cutting, Torching, and Hot Works. The Limits of Liability for This Policy Shall Not Be Less Than $5,000,000.00 Inclusive Limits for All Work. .2 Should the Work of This Contract Include Any Asbestos or Mould Related Abatement Work, a Separate Certificate Shall Be Provided by the Asbestos or Mould Abatement Trade Contractor Verifying Liability Coverage for Limits of Liability Not Less Than $2,000,000.00. .3 Evidence That All Vehicles Entering Upon the Project Site for the Performance of This Contract Have Vehicle Liability Insurance With Minimum Liability Coverage of $2,000,000.00. 4 Certificate Shall Be Issued and Signed by the Underwriters of the Policy and Shall Contain a Policy Number, Expiry Date and a Clause Stipulating That Such Insurance Shall Not Be Cancelled or Altered or Allowed to Lapse Without Thirty (30) Days' Prior Written Notice to the Owner. A Certificate Issued and Signed by the Insurance Agent on Behalf of the Underwriter is Acceptable. .5 A Letter Verifying That He is Registered and in Good Standing With the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba.
