Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Barre, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The City of Barre is seeking bids for the repair of an outlet of a 24" culvert at Berlin St and Highgate Dr. This project is in response to flood damage of July 2023 DR-4720, which resulted in the last 50 feet of 24" RCP being undermined and becoming disconnected. The project consists of the contractor bringing the pipe subbase back up to grade, installing 24" ADS pipe from the end of the remaining RCP to the stream, and then stabilizing the streambank. Work may begin on May 1, 2024. The project must be completed by October 1, 2024. Question Deadline 02/22/2024 All questions are to be submitted to TJ DeRose at pwsuper@barrecity.org. All questions will be answered by Friday, February 23, 2024. The City of Barre reserves the right to reject and require the contractor to tear out and redo any work, at the expense of the contractor, if the quality is determined to be unacceptable by the Director of Public Works.
