Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of an office development in Yorktown, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a office development; for the construction of a 1,060-square-foot, one-story above grade office development; for the renovation of a office development; and for site work for a office development.

Design-Build Services for the Dockmaster Building and Waterfront Operations Building (Phase I) Phase I is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Step One of a Two-Step process for design-build projects. Construction of Building A involves demolition of the existing Dockmaster and Restroom buildings, construction of a new 1,060 square foot single story building and all necessary mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hardscaping and landscaping. The architectural aesthetics and design must be similar to the original building. A design was recently prepared for a two-story building. After public comment, the County now seeks a modification of the design that includes the removal of the second story. The services to be provided by the Contractor include but are not limited to: o Review and revise the architectural drawings to accommodate the new redesign of the building. It is expected that the revisions will include modifications to the: Civil/Site; Structural; Architectural; Electrical; Plumbing, and Mechanical disciplines in conjunction with the Owner. o Prepare and submit intermediate design review packages at the Conceptual, 60% and 95% completion levels for Owner's approval. o Review of the existing geotechnical engineering studies and investigations to support design. o Complete the final design, submit final plans and calculations to Owner. o Secure all necessary permits and approvals. It is expected that the contractor shall utilize the existing approvals of the site plan and building plan to the best extent practical. o Provide material submittals to Owner. o Procure materials, equipment (unless specifically furnished by Owner), and subcontractors. o Construct Project. o Provide as-built drawings. o Conduct startup, commissioning, and performance testing. o Provide operator training. o Provide closeout documentation (remaining as-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance manuals, etc.) o Provide warranty coverage. Questions regarding this RFQ must be received prior to the date and time posted on the cover page. Neither a Pre-Submittal Meeting nor a Site Visit Meeting is scheduled for this solicitation.
