The Project proposes to replace approximately 3,100 feet of existing potable water mains, including all associated valves, fire hydrant connections, and service connections along Military West between West 7th Street and West 11th Street. Location of Work: On or adjacent to Military West between West 7th and West 11th St., Benicia CA. The Engineer's Opinion of Probable Costs is approximately $1,700,000 This Project is subject to prevailing wage compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Completion of Work: All work shall be completed within 51 Working Days for the date when the Contract Time commences to run, with allowable field work permitted only from June 8, 2024 to August 12, 2024 (coinciding with Benicia Unified School District summer break). Non-field working days are for work not within any roadway, work not impacting vehicle traffic, and punch list work. Bid Preparation Cost: Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their Bids. Required Contractor's License(s): A California class "A" contractor's license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Reservation of Rights: Owner specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. Owner may reject any and all Bids and waive any minor irregularities in the Bids.
