The University of Manitoba seeks to procure the services of a consulting firm to provide space analysis and functional space programming services, including space block planning. The objective is to establish a space program that will guide the design and development process of the new NCTR building and ceremonial lands. The NCTR intends to construct a new facility on the Southwood Circle lands, adjacent to the UM’s Fort Garry Campus. The facility will serve as an international learning center where Survivors, their families, and people from across Canada and around the world can come to learn about residential schools, in a place of education and dialogue where the truths of their experiences are honored and kept safe for future generations. The NCTR is seeking functional space programming services to guide the design of this new facility. The new NCTR building and ceremonial lands will be a sacred place, where Elders and Traditional Knowledge Keepers can impart their wisdom, teachings, and lived experiences to Indigenous youth, and demonstrate to all Canadians the ways to establish just and peaceful relationships among diverse peoples. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure all addenda were received and to acknowledge receipt of all addenda on the bid form. Failure to comply may result in your bid being rejected.
