ESTIMATED RANGE: .4 Electrical - $4,000,000 - $5,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES = (.4) $2,500.00 per day. There is no Bid Guaranty required for this Project. The Department of General Services Public Works and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. However, BDISBO did not set SDB and/or VBE participation goals for those procurements that are less than the $600,000 threshold required to set either goal. In addition, there will be no points allocated toward SDB/SB participation for this procurement. This is a significant programmatic change from the SDB and SB Participation program contained in prior Projects issued by Public Works. Bidders now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. Duration: 260 Calendar Days from date of Initial Job Conference The Work of this Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following. Detailed requirements of the Work are described in the pertinent specification Sections and/or shown on the Drawings. B. Electrical Construction (.4) Contract: 1. Demolition and replacement of fire alarm systems throughout select campus buildings. A. ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (DGS 0553-0040 PHASE 1.4) 1. Base Bid No. 1: a. Remove the existing fire alarm system devices, wiring, and panels and provide new fire alarm system devices, wiring, and panels in Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 19. b. Remove fire alarm devices and replace with new devices in Buildings 8, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21. c. Remove the existing Selinsgrove fire alarm system network wiring and provide new fiber optic network cabling and equipment as shown on the communication riser drawing E-0.02. d. Provide new underground fiber optic cabling between Buildings 1 and 2, and between Buildings 3 and 4, and between Buildings 9 and 10 as shown on the Site Plan drawing E-0.01. e. Provide fire alarm monitoring equipment in the Snyder County 911 Center Building as described in Specification 284622. f. Maintain the portion of the existing campus fiber optic network extended from Building 6 to Buildings 28, 29, and 30 and interconnect this existing portion of the fiber optic network to the new fiber optic network. 2. Base Bid No. 2: a. Same as Base Bid No. 1, except add the requirements to remove the existing fire alarm system devices, wiring, and panels and provide new fire alarm system devices, wiring, and panels in Buildings 28, 29, and 30. 3. Base Bid No. 3: a. Same as Base Bid No. 2, except add the requirements to provide new fire alarm system devices, wiring, and panels in Buildings 31, 32, 33, and 34. b. Utilize the existing fiber optic cables extended between Building 30 and Buildings 31, 32, 33, and 34 and provide additional fiber optic equipment to connect the new fire alarm equipment in Buildings 31, 32, 33, and 34 to the new fire alarm network.
