Reference Number 0000341118 Pine Street Driftway Shoreline Adaptatoin Project unit bid prices, questionnaire, corporate information page and a certified check or proposal bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, satisfactory to and payable to the order of the City of Newport, RI. Question Deadline 02/15/2024 WORK INCLUDED The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and installation of ADA sidewalks at the specified locations and to perform the work of these Contract Documents and all included items, their associated Specifications and Details under the direction of the City. Construction items are identified within the City Standard Specifications for Construction within City Right-of-Way, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's (RIDOT) Rhode Island Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction with all latest revisions, and the Department of Justice American's with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design, 2010 Edition with all latest revisions. The location of work shall be at the Pine Street Driftway in the City of Newport. Areas designated for work under this Contract are indicated in the Appendix. All terms and prices shall remain in effect throughout the term of Agreement. This project will be bid as a lump sum project in its entirety. Locations shall be reconstructed in order as they appear in the project plan titled "PINE STREET, Newport, Rhode Island, Shoreline Adaptation Inventory and Design Project, 60% Design Plans" dated February 2021 or as otherwise directed/approved by the Engineer. No sidewalk or project shall be excavated and left open for longer than a 14-day period without written exception by the Engineer. The Contractor shall take special care during construction to maintain and keep the roadway passable at the end of each day during construction and at all times for emergency vehicles. All driveways must be accessible at the end of each day. Traffic shall be adequately controlled by the Contractor; however, as requested by the Contractor, the City Engineer shall approve in writing the need and schedule for all police details throughout the project. Police details shall be paid for by the City. Flagger Traffic Control shall be paid prevailing wage with no additional mark up to the Contractor should Police Traffic Control not be available.
