**As of February 29, 2024, project was awarded to Asphalt Paving & Materials Co., in the amount of $838,539.68.** Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or draft of five percent (5%) of the amount bid, and issued by a State or National Bank and made payable to the City of Huron, or in lieu thereof a bid bond of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. Such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, payable to the City of Huron, as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of Huron, South Dakota. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted. Performance and Payment Bond: Performance and payment bonds are required for all construction contracts and must be provided in accordance with the General Conditions. 1. The undersigned Bidder being familiar with the Instructions for bidders; Specifications attached and on file in the Office of City Engineer, City of Huron, South Dakota; and this Proposal offers to furnish in accordance with said documents the items listed below at the price listed below. 2. The undersigned Bidder agrees that this Proposal shall be valid and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. 3. The Bidder agrees to execute the Contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award and to deliver Bonds and insurance certificates as required by the Contract Documents. 4. The Bidder agrees if there is a discrepancy between unit bid prices and extensions, the unit bid price shall govern. This request will be evaluated and a contract award made to the lowest bid, inclusive of selected alternates if applicable, from a responsive and responsible bidder deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Huron and as allowed by project budget. 5. The Bidder understands and agrees that the quantities of material to be furnished and work to be done may be varied on construction as may be deemed advisable by the City of Huron. It is further understood and agreed that the City of Huron may, at its option, delete items from the contract. 6. The Bidder agrees that the bid includes all local, state, and federal taxes that would affect the amount of the bid. 7. The Bidder agrees to complete all work prior to October 31, 2024. Liquidated damages in accordance with the schedule in the General Conditions of the Contract Documents shall apply for any work remaining after this date. 8. The Bidder agrees that all Schedules must be bid. 9. The Bidder agrees that the right is reserved by the City of Huron to reject any or all bids.
