Renovation of a municipal facility in Youngstown, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio MUST be accompanied by proper cer tifications that such Corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Attention of the Bidder is directed to the requirements that each proposal must be accompanied by a non collusion affidavit, properly executed by the Bidder. Further, the successful Bidder will be required to execute an af fidavit required by Sec. 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code. No payment shall be made on any Contract for which no such affidavit has been submitted Bond Notes: This work shall utilize a Project Labor Agreement as approved by the Mahoning County Commissioners and developed with the local trade council and various local trade unions. Resolution RES-08-12-036. For all bids in excess of SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND ($75,000.00) DOLLARS , a certified check representing TEN (10%) PERCENT of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to the Mahoning County Treasurer, or a bid bond in the sum of TEN (10%) PERCENT of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each and every proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Board of County Commissioners, in the manner provided by law. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required at the time the bidder enters into the contract. However, if the item bid is available for immediate delivery and specified as such in the bid, a performance bond will not then be required. All questions must be submitted to CJL Engineering, 1044 N Meridian Road, St B, Youngstown, Ohio 44509, in writing by 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 for the addendum response to be received by the Bidders 72 hours prior to the Bid opening. The Contractor and all sub-contractors for this project must be enrolled in the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation Drug-Free Workplace Program or in a similar program approve by the Bureau of Workers Compensation. Any Contractor that does not meet his requirement will have their bid deemed non-responsive and cannot be awarded the contract. Owner Rights: The Board of Mahoning County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. In addition, the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners reserves the right to participate in state contracts which the Department of Administrative Services, Office of State Purchasing has entered into for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain materials pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 125.04. No bids may be withdrawn for at least ninety- (90) days after the opening thereof. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin. The Contractor agrees that, if awarded the Contract for the above named Project, the Work will be substantially complete within ONE HUNDRED FIFTY (150) CALENDAR DAYS . CLEARLY INDICATE THE ITEM BEING BID, AS WELL AS THE NAME, ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE PERSON OR BUSINESS SUBMITTING THE BID, ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SEALED ENVELOPE CONTAINING THE BID.
