Hayward Unified School District will be performing modernization upgrades at Southgate Elementary School. Work includes phased renovations and upgrades to classrooms, other non-classroom areas, and site. Scope of Work includes site demolition, selective demolition, concrete reinforcement, concrete place & finish, casework, countertops, finish carpentry, insulation, weather barrier, roofing repair, flashing & sheet metal, firestopping, joint sealants, doors, frames, & hardware, plaster patching, gypsum board, painting, ceramic tile, flooring, epoxy flooring, ceilings, DIV 10 specialties, visual display, tackable wall covering, signage, window coverings, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, earthwork, asphalt paving, storm drainage, pavement markings, fencing, site concrete, playground equipment & playground surfacing. New Main Switch Board (MSB) to be procured by others for installation by selected Electrical Subcontractor. Include cost to offload, store, handle, install, test, and commission new MSB in accordance with Contract Documents. Include all associated costs to furnish and install any necessary accessory items for complete, operational MSB in accordance with Contract Documents. Value Engineering ideas are encouraged, please provide with your proposals. Participation is encouraged for disabled veteran business enterprises ("DVBE"). Project Stabilization Agreement (PSA) Local Hire Requirements (Hayward Residents) Skilled & Trained Workforce Requirements DVBE Goal of 3% - Participation Encouraged.
