The City of Claremont will receive sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide sidewalk rehabilitation services. The work is generally described as minor concrete repair and is located at identified locations in the City. The City is home to over 25,000 trees that are planted in parkways throughout the City; trees that have established root systems often causing sidewalks to lift and crack. The awarded contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment, and temporary traffic control related to remove and replace damaged public concrete, including sidewalks, walkways, curbs and gutters, and drive approaches . Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractors license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: A or C8. Such submission, if any, must be sent to the Community Services Department by emailing cdillman@ci.claremont.ca.us and shall be received no later than February 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. for interpretation or correction from the City. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashiers check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the City in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
