2024 Capital Paving Project The contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to complete the required construction as described in its entirety to the specifications as directed and the terms of this contract including all incidentals as directed by the City of Doraville Director of Public Works or his representative. Unless otherwise specified all work shall be completed in accordance with Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications (current edition), by a completion date. All existing Speed Humps shall be removed and re-installed. The work locations and descriptions follow but are not limited to: Homeland Drive, Hickory Lane, Redwood Street, Hickory Wood Lane, Shallowford Road, Stafford Place Addison Drive, King Avenue, Church Drive. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond or a certified check made payable to the City of Doraville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The Bid Bond or certified check must be enclosed in the envelope with the sealed bid. The awarded bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents. The City of Doraville reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities, and to make an award in the best interest of the City of Doraville. The City of Doraville is not responsible for any technical difficulties. It is highly recommended that all potential contractors submit their quotes prior to the due date of this solicitation. Work is expected to begin within 10 days of the official "Notice to Proceed" and all paving work be completed within 90 calendar days. The services to be performed under this Contract shall commence upon the date stated in the Notice to Proceed Letter. The contract period for this contract is 90 days from the date stated in the Notice to Proceed Letter. Upon the completion of the full scope of work the contract shall terminate absolutely and without further obligation as required by O.C.G.A. 36-60-13, as amended, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the provisions of this Contract. . Project Description: The City of Doraville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for 2024 Capital Paving for the Department of Public Works. The contractor must self-perform tasks constituting a minimum of (50%) of the value of the contract. Work will be done in accordance with Georgia Department of Transportations Standard Drawings, Standard Specifications, and Pay Items Index as standards and specifications for the construction and completion of the work required, except as noted or directed by Engineer.
