Reference Number 0000263840 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/02/15 12:00:00 AM CST The Government of Manitoba on Behalf of Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (Mti) is Seeking a Qualified Firm to: A) Obtain Bathymetric Cross-sections on Lower Seine River and Manning Canal at Approximately 400m and Up to 800m Intervals for Developed and Undeveloped Areas Respectively. Specific Cross- Section Locations Are Indicated in Schedule "a". B) Obtain Surveys of Bridge Crossings, Rail Crossings, Dams, and Other Hydraulic Structures on the Portion of the Lower Seine River and Manning Canal. Approximate Locations for All Waterway Structures Are Given in Schedule "a". The Survey Will Be Divided Into One Data Sets as Indicated in Section 3.0 Below. The Data Set Has a Separate Expected Delivery Date and Utm Coordinate Locations Are Provided for the Data Set in Schedule "a". Details of the Requested Survey Are as Follows: Survey Limits for Cross-sections Should Extend From Top of Bank to Top of Bank, Including the Channel Centerline. The Average Distance Between Cross-section Points (Spacing) is 2m. Cross-sections Are Expected to Adequately Define the Shape of the Channel. The Cross Section Point at the Channel Center Line Should Be Labeled as "Cl" Data Points Shall Be Collected Using Cgvd28 (Ht2.0) Vertical Datum. UTM coordinates provided in Schedule "A" are approximate. If access is unavailable, a cross-section can be moved to a more suitable location in the vicinity (+/- 50m upstream/downstream). Benchmark data from nearby Water Survey of Canada gauge stations will be provided to the selected Proponent to be tied into the survey data The Service Provider is responsible for gaining access to survey locations, including consent of entry to private property. MTI can notify Rural Municipalities to assist the successful contractor, but MTI will not be contacting individual property owners. Contractors are expected to conduct their own assessment of the river conditions and sit access prior to responding to the RFQ. Workplace safety during the assignment shall be the responsibility of the Service Provider. Safety practises shall be carried out in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act. Please refer to Part 1 Section 13.0 of this RFQ for requirements related to Worker Compensation Board (WCB). Additional survey services outside those described in Schedule "A" may be requested. Any work outside of those described herein must not be undertaken unless agreed to by the Service Provider and MTI using the Change Request Procedure described in Part 4 Section 7.00 of this RFQ. If additional structures are encountered by the Service Provider while the work is being undertaken, the Service Provider is to notify MTI and MTI may request the Service Provider collect the additional information, following the Change Request Procedure. The Consultant agrees to obtain and maintain, at its cost, throughout the term of the Agreement, and in the case of claims-made policies for a period of at least twenty four (24) months following completion of all Services under this Agreement (to provide a claim discovery period), the following insurance: a) commercial general liability insurance covering the Services provided by Service Provider or its officers, employees, subcontractors or agents under this Agreement; such insurance shall: (i) provide a minimum of Two Million ($2,000,000.00) per occurrence limit of liability; and (ii) name Manitoba, its Ministers, officers, and employees and agents as Additional Insureds with respect to this Agreement; b) professional liability insurance for all professional consultants engaged or employed by the Service Provider or its subcontractors providing the Services with minimum limits of liability of two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) per occurrence or claim; c) automobile liability insurance covering all licensed motor vehicles owned, hired, or used by the Service Provider, or its officers, employees, or subcontractors in the performance of Services under this Agreement, with limits not less than Two Million ($2,000,000.00) Dollars per Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
