A The work consists of the necessary labor, equipment, tools and materials to renovate the existing Put-In-Bay Visitor Center B All items identified within drawings and specifications as ìEDUCATIONAL DISPLAY CONTRACTORî will be performed by Graphite Design + Build (15 N Huron Street, Toledo, OH 43604 / 419.690.4870) who will have a direct contract with the owner. Installation of exhibits will be performed during the FF&E stage of the project after the contractor has been completed with the renovation. This contractor shall include associated coordination and schedule allocation required to facilitate a completed project on time & schedule. The existing building was home to the State Fish Hatchery from 1907 till 1988. A variety of fish were raised there to help preserve the rich ecology of Lake Eire. Since then, the building has been used as a research center for Ohio State University and the ODNR Division of Wildlife as well as a public education center. Visitors to the building can learn about the Lake Eires complex ecosystems, and the current research projects that are taking place to preserve that ecosystem. The building will remain a research and education center. The intent of the renovation is to preserve the building for future generations, make it accessible to all visitors, and to enhance the visitors educational experience.
