Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Ojai, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

This is development of a paved playground area with some minor landscaping and ground work. See the layout plan with specifications. The scope of work is also listed. The Contract Time is 45 days. CONTRACTOR should consult the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidated Damages. As a condition of bidding for this Project, and in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 20111.5, prospective bidders are required to submit to the District a completed set of prequalification documents on forms provided by the District. These documents will be the basis for determining which bidders are qualified to bid on this Project. If this Project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical or plumbing ("MEP") subcontractors (contractors that hold C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses), such MEP subcontractors must also be prequalified. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class General A/B, or C-12 or C32 The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Such bidder's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the District prior to execution of the Contract and shall be in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. Pre-bid clarification request shall be filed a minimum of six (6) days prior to bid opening. Each request for clarification shall be submitted in writing, via email, to only the following persons: TO: Alan White, Bond Project Manager CC: Awhite@ojaiusd.org Question Deadline 02/23/2024 1. Grade approximately 14,000 SF area to accommodate drainage to existing storm drains 2. Compact Subgrade in preparation for base and finish surface (Asphalt / Concrete) 3. Provide and install base, compacted to 90% per specification 4. Provide and install asphalt play area per specification 5. Stripe per drawing 6. Irrigate and plant buffer zone (approximately 250 SF) at South Side of the I building 7. Provide and install concrete border areas per drawing and specification 8. Provide and plant trees per drawing (4) 9. Finish Grade the upper area for installation of Gaga Pits by others as shown on drawing 10. The Easternmost edge of the asphalt play area should be ADA compliant. 11. Grading of the upper area should be compliant to create an accessible path of travel to the Gaga Pit area. 12. Install a permanent Basketball hoop at the Northern section per drawing. The Southern hoop will be portable. Both hoop / stands will be provided by the district. 13. Provide post wells for the volleyball play area. Removable posts and net will be provided by the district. 14. Provide and install 3" compacted base and 2" compacted DG at area just North of the basketball courts and West of the I building (approximately 1,000 SF)
