The Jennings Well has a history of exceeding secondary Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) for various substances, leading to operational challenges. To improve water quality, an evaluation conducted by West Yost Associates recommends implementing a treatment system. This system involves replacing the existing well pump, adding a pressure tank, a water softener, and a packaged reverse osmosis treatment unit. The project aims to ensure that the water quality meets applicable standards and supports the increasing water demands at the Jennings Plant and the City Composting Facility while remaining within the production capacity of the existing well, even with treatment in place.
