Renovation of a mixed-use development in Modesto, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Modesto Junior College East Campus - Gymnasium Reroof. The project consists of the demolition, removal, and replacement of the existing roofing system and associated flashings and trim on the Modesto Junior College, East Campus Gymnasium Building roof. A bid bond by an admitted California surety insurer on the form provided by the District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The engineer's estimate is $1,730,000. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess at a minimum the following State of California Contractor License and Certification: A and/or B and/or C-39 California Class contractor's license is required to Bid this contract. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. Copies of the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the Contract, as determined by Director of the State of California Department of Industrial Relations, are on file at the District's principal office. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the District or on the internet through online Payment of Prevailing Wages: The Contractor and all Subcontractors under the Contractor shall pay all workers on all Work performed pursuant to this Contract not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess at a minimum the following State of California Contractor License and Certification: A and/or B and/or C-39 California Class contractor's license is required to Bid this contract. Last Day for RFI Submission February 6, 2025 @ Noon Estimated Notice of Award March 28, 2025 Estimated Notice to Proceed April 2, 2025 On-site Construction Commences May 5, 2025 Construction Complete July 31, 2025 This project consists of removal of the existing built up roofing down to the substrate, removal of designated existing pipe supports, installation of the specified roofing system, removal and reinstallation of the exhaust fans and skylights, installation of the new skylight guards, pipe supports and installation of a new crossover walkway. THIS PROJECT CONSIST OF -REMOVAL OF BUILT UP ROOFING DOWN TO THE SUBSTRATE -REMOVAL OF EXISTING PIPE SUPPORTS -INSTALLATION OF SPECIFIED ROOFING SYSTEM -REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION OF EXISTING EXHAUST FANS -REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION OF EXISTING SKYLIGHTS -INSTALLATION OF NEW SKYLIGHT GUARDS -INSTALLATION OF NEW CROSS OVER WALKWAY -INSTALLATION OF NEW PIPE SUPPORTS 23-12851.00 Pursuant to SB 854, no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and no contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for a public works project (awarded on or before April 1, 2015) unless registered with the DIR per California Labor Code section 1725.5.
