The Ministry of Forests is looking to complete various Silviculture Surveys in the western portion of the Quesnel Natural Resource District (QNRD). The services required for this project include performing a variety of survey types and/or walk through assessments to determine and declare areas as Satisfactorily Restocked (SR) vs Not Satisfactorily Restocked (NSR), identify and ribbon areas that will require planting and/or brushing, or determine and declare areas as Free Growing (FG). The total assessment area of 1,521.5 ha is spread over thirty-two (32) units. All work, including boundary layout if required, deliverable submissions and data input into RESULTS, must be completed by December 15, 2024. As part of the continued Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA) / United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) initiative process, the QNRD has included a portion of this contract to partner with Indigenous communities in a knowledge sharing initiative, Indigenous Knowledge Silviculture Surveys (IKSS). This will entail including Indigenous community members in the Silviculture Survey processes of the contract. Question Deadline 02/29/2024 at 4:30 PM PT Estimated Contract Duration (12 months)
