Demolition, site work and renovation of a residential development in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for the renovation of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

Question Submission Deadline: February 21, 2024, 5:00pm This project is for the demolition and replacement building of a single-family residential unit located at 22 Brigadier St. Pensacola, FL 32507. Specifications and Plans are attached to this solicitation. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Labor, overhead, permits, insurance, and profit must be included into each itemized price and not listed as a separate itemized price or listed under "miscellaneous." All work performed must be inspected (rough and final) and conform to County Ordinances, State Laws, and Florida Building Code. Escambia County will pay for recording of Notice of Commencement in public records. Energy Sheets will also be provided to the awarded contractor by the County Neighborhood Enterprise Division (NED) for pulling permits. The Homeowner is responsible for the removal of all belongings/furnishings from the designated work areas prior to the start date. A Notice to Proceed will be issued once the homeowner has vacated the property. The Contractor is not responsible for removal of Homeowner's trash and/or discarded belongings or furnishings. Items left within the unit become the property of the Contractor. All materials and supplies shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, with all work completed in accordance with industry standards for new construction. DIVISION 2--SITE WORK FENCES: Existing fencing shall remain in place. Contractor will be responsible for any fencing that is damaged during construction. SEPTIC TANK: Abandon existing septic tank per Florida Health Department regulations and install new septic system per included Health Department Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal System Specifications. EROSION CONTROL: Provide erosion control on the site during reconstruction as required to include silt fencing, mulch, and/or other approved methods. GRADING: Final grading should slope away from the house to prevent water from standing. Contractor will not leave any ruts or holes on the property at project completion. Backfill should be clean of rocks and any debris. LANDSCAPING: Trim trees overhanging new single-family residence. Slope grade away from house and install 4 pallets of Centipede sod in front, sides and back yard. Use clean topsoil for landscaping, not red clay or sand.
