Renovation of a municipal facility in Buellton, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work to be performed or executed under these specifications consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by this request for informal bid and the plans and specifications prepared by TetraTech. The general items of work to be done hereunder consist of the following Prime Contractor bid Sections for the tenant improvements to 140 W Hwy 246: HEATING/HVAC: Improvements and installation of heating and air facilities. At the time of contract award, the following are the minimum license requirements: Heating/HVAC - C20. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III, of the Business and Profession code of the State of California at the time the bid is submitted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to make award to the lowest responsible bidder and reject all other bids; to waive any informality in the bidding; and to accept any bid or portion thereof; and to take all bids under advisement for a period of forty-five (45) calendar day. Liquidated damages requirements will be assessed for each and every day that any portion of the work remains unfinished after the time fixed for completion in the contract documents. Damages for avoidable delays shall be in the amount of $1,500.00 for each consecutive calendar day in excess of the time specified for completion of the work. Question Deadline 02/23/2024 at 3:00 PM PT Any questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing and submitted to roseh@cityofbuellton.com. Answers will be provided in one Addendum subsequent to the deadline. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall be required to adhere to the general prevailing rate of perdiem wages as determined and published by the State Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, pursuant to Section 1770, 1773 and 1773.2 of the California Labor Code. The contract documents call for monthly progress payments based upon the percentage of work completed. The City will retain five percent (5%) of each progress payment as security for completion of the balance of the work.
