The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals for ongoing research in the research area of coal derived asphalt. This project has been ongoing for 8 years. It requires collaboration between the University of Wyoming (University or UW) and a research organization that can work closely with the University Coal to Asphalt team. The project is in process of determining a list of solvents to produce coal extract and residual material intermediates in addition to formulating, testing and characterizing coal derived asphalt products suitable for testing in accordance with industry standards. The University of Wyoming reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in proposals received, by the specific solicitation opening time and date, and to accept any portion of a proposal or all items proposed if deemed in the best interest of the University of Wyoming.
