The Town of Hampstead is seeking a firm to provide general building janitorial services. The selected firm will be responsible for providing all the labor, materials (i.e., cleaning materials, trash bags, etc.), equipment, and services necessary to perform the activities defined in the scope of work. The Town will provide its own consumables The Contractor will provide weekly cleaning services for: Town Hall/Office, consisting of approximately 3,185 square feet located at 1034 S. Carroll Street; the Department of Public Works, consisting of approximately 1,320 square feet located at 4031 Gill Ave.; and the Police Department, consisting of approximately 3,640 square feet located at 1112 S. Main Street Hampstead, MD. Weekly cleaning will consist of vacuuming all carpeted floor areas, vacuuming and wet mopping all tiled and hard floor areas, dusting all horizontal surfaces, sanitizing kitchen areas and bathrooms (including sinks, toilets, and mirrors), cleaning windows and doors at entrances, and emptying trash and recycling in provided containers. Annual cleaning will consist of shampooing all carpets, stripping, and waxing all tile floors and washing all windows and blinds Monthly cleaning will consist of deep cleaning / dusting of all walls and corners The minimum limit for General Liability Insurance shall be one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) which said limit shall also include as an insurance requirement for the personal injury and property damage liability insurance on the vehicles and equipment to be operated by the Contractor in the performance of this contract. The most favorable bid will be evaluated by responsiveness to the specifications in the scope of work and the terms and conditions further specified in these instructions and the Request for Bid. The bid will be reviewed at the Town Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. If the bid is approved, the Notice of Award/Notice to Proceed nay follow by Wednesday, March 13, 2024 Town of Hampstead reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid. All bids when filed will be irrevocable for ninety (90) days following the closing date for submission of bids. Questions must be in a written format and received no later than February 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. EST. A written response as an addendum will be emailed to all potential Contractors by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024. Verbal questions and/or answers will not be binding.
