The retaining wall has experienced deflection over time. A single pile has been identified for replacement. This work will ensure the safety of the travelling public along the adjacent trail. The retaining wall adjacent to the Castle Creek underpass has experienced deflection in limited locations. This identified location will be set for replacement. The existing retaining wall construction is steel piles with timber log retainment. There are multiple utilities located behind the retaining wall. These utilities include electric, gas, and stormwater. These utilities will need to be protected throughout construction. The Castle Creek Bridge abutment sits behind the retaining wall as well and will also need to be protected.
