Sealed Bids for furnishing all equipment and doing the work according to Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. The work of providing Water Meter Project - Material will be let under one contract. The principal items of work are detailed herein below. Principal Work: 1. 2,370 Water Meters with Appurtenances The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 200 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages.
