Aggregate Base Materials. Bids are invited for the supply of aggregate base materials, as specified, by the Department of Public Works and Environmental Services Department. The City intends to enter into one or more contracts for a one-year period with an option to renew four (4) additional one-year periods, provided pricing and services are acceptable to the City. It is the intent of this specification to describe aggregate base materials which shall be new and carry the manufacturer's standard guarantee against defective parts and/or workmanship. All materials shall conform to the Standard Specifications of the State of California, Department of Public Works/Division of Highway, latest edition. 1. Crushed Granite/Fine (1/4" x No. 10) Crushed Granite screenings shall consist of broken stone and shall be hard, durable, tough and sound. Screenings shall be washed clean and free from dirt and other deleterious substances. The percentage composition by weight of screenings shall conform to the grading for Fine 1/4 " x No. 10 of Section 37-2.02 of the Standard Specifications. 2. Crushed Granite/Medium (3/8" x No. 6) Crushed Granite Screenings shall consist of broken stone and shall be hard, durable, tough and sound. Screenings shall be washed clean and free from dirt and other deleterious substances.
