Site work and paving for a road / highway in Billings, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of: WO 24-10: This project reconstructs 9th Avenue South, from its intersection with State Avenue to just east of its intersection with South 29th street in the Billings South Side Triangle area. The reconstruction includes removal and replacement of asphalt concrete pavement and base course, the rehabilitation of existing curb and gutter, accessible ramps, and concrete gutters. Other miscellaneous items include landscape restoration, and the removal and replacement of existing street signs. WO 22-22: This project reconstructs 10th Avenue South from its intersection with South 31st Street to just beyond its intersection with South 30th Street, as well as South 30th Street from just north of 10th Avenue South to State Avenue, in the South Billings Triangle area. The reconstruction includes removal and replacement of asphalt concrete pavement and base course, existing curb and gutter, existing sidewalk, and accessible ramps, as well as the installation of new curb and gutter, sidewalk, accessible ramps, and storm drain infrastructure, including a culvert. Other miscellaneous items include landscape restoration, and the replacement of existing street signs and pavement markings. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR'S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 1-406-444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Yellowstone County and the state of Montana. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the "City of Billings, MT" in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. Bids submitted via email shall have the bid bond scanned and included with the bid. Bids submitted via mail or hand delivered shall have any of the bid securities included. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids, which is 2:00 PM local time, Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
