A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The project generally consists of constructing approximately 2,675 lineal feet of 30-inch PVC sewer interceptor pipe and associated manholes for the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District in Adams County, Colorado. The sewer interceptor is to be constructed starting from a connection to an existing Metro Water Recovery (Metro) manhole near 123rd Avenue and Brighton Road and continuing south in the Brighton Road right-of-way, where it will connect to an existing South Adams County Water and Sanitation District 30-inch interceptor at 120th Avenue and Brighton Road. The project will include temporary bypass pumping of the SACWSD interceptor for short intervals, as well as construction dewatering along the length of the sewer installation. The project is comprised of two bidding schedules and one bid alternate in order to effectuate the release of retainage and warranty start date separately for each schedule. Schedule 1 includes installation of all pipe and manholes for the project and will occur during 2024. Schedule 2 includes bypass pumping and associated work to switch flow from the existing interceptor in 120th Avenue over to the new interceptor once the District is ready for this to occur, which is anticipated to happen in the first quarter of 2025. Schedule 2 work also includes modifications to the inside of the connection manhole at 120th Avenue and Brighton Road, along with the abandonment in place of two existing manholes and 170 lineal feet of 30-inch sanitary sewer pipe. Alternate No. 1 consists of temporary bypass pumping of Metro s initial flows in its 54-inch sewer interceptor at the existing manhole at 123rd and Brighton Road in order to make the connection to the manhole. It is the Owner s intent to award Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 to one Contractor. The Alternate No. 1 work will be awarded and performed if sewer flows are present in the 54-inch interceptor and it is deemed necessary. Bids will be received on a unit price basis. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. It is anticipated that the Contract Agreement will be signed and the Notice to Proceed will be issued in early April 2024. Substantial completion of the project (Schedule 1) shall be reached by October 31, 2024. Final completion of the project (Schedule 2) is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025, but no later than three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional Bids. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. The Bid and Bid Security will remain subject to acceptance for 70 calendar days after the Bid opening, or for such longer period of time that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request of Owner. ***Document Note: Electronic files of the Bidding Documents for use in preparing Bids may be obtained from Muller Engineering Company.
