Renovation of a mixed-use development in Browns Summit, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and laboratory facility.
As of June 26, 2024, an awarded general contractor has been confirmed and all trades have been awarded. Construction is anticipated to start by the end of August 2024. The work in this contract consists of the renovation of existing spaces within the Filter Building and include work on the main floor and basement area. The work will be accomplished in a minimum of two phases. The first phase will include the renovations to spaces south of the main corridor as shown in the Drawings. The second phase will include work shown on the Drawings north of the main corridor. The replacement of the roof shall be coordinated and may be accomplished during the first or second phase. The roof will be removed and replaced over the areas to be renovated and occupied and shall be completed to keep the interior spaces dry throughout construction. Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work will be required on the roof, main floor, and basement. Temporary trailers will be required for Owner staff and laboratory equipment and staff. Work shall be accomplished without interruption of water treatment. The building will remain operational throughout the Contract. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
