Site work and renovation of a civil project in Browns Summit, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of this project shall include but not be limited to the following: engineering design, contract administration, and construction services for the Project. All aspects of the project from design through completion and commissioning are included in the scope of work. The following general requirements are identified for this project (Additional detail provided in Exhibit A): o First and foremost, the DB Team will be required to maintain plant operations throughout construction. o The DB Team will be expected to review the PER and as the Engineer of Record for the design and construction of this project, confirm recommendations outlined in the PER. o The DB team shall provide the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of plant operations for the construction of the Advanced Treatment Facility (ATF) and associated appurtenances. The selected DB Team will be expected to consider the following items at a minimum: o Townsend Water Treatment Plant is rated at 30 mgd. Treatment must not limit the plants ability to distribute 30 mgd. o Electrical loading and the impacts or changes required to existing electrical facilities. o Siting the ATF appropriately for the City to expand the WTP in the future according to the City's master plan. o Demolition of existing picnic shelter, playground and bathroom building near the proposed new plant entrance. o Deep piping necessary for future Capital Improvements Projects (clearwell) shall be considered. o A new 36” DIP watermain is under contract to begin construction by the end of the year along the east side of the drive into the plant. Final design needs to take into account future maintenance of the line if necessary. o Integration to the plant’s SCADA system for monitoring is required. o Design needs to consider removal of spent media and traffic patterns. o Stormwater controls are expected. The City reserves all right to the contents of the final scope and budget for all phases of the project.
