Site work for a civil project in New Boston, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.

The project consists of the following: Project work includes but is not limited to: implementation of provided traffic control & detour plans, construction layout, erosion controls, tree clearing, stumping & grubbing, temporary stream diversion, common excavation, Concrete Systems Inc (CSI) precast footings, rigid frame bridge & Uwall retaining walls, structural backfill, stream restoration & plantings, roadway selects, binder course pavement, wearing course pavement, gravel shoulders, guardrail and permanent establishment of vegetation growth. All project work shall take place while maintaining appropriate traffic control and erosion control throughout construction. The New Boston Highway Department has engaged CSI to perform structural engineering of precast bridge, footing and Uwall retaining walls. Shop drawings from CSI are expected to be available for distribution by February 23, 2024, if not sooner. Contractor will be responsible to engage CSI to manufacture and deliver precast components. The Town reserves the right to reduce or increase scope of work based on available funds. The Town of New Boston has secured a $400,000 Culvert Flood Risk Assistance Grant from NHDES to perform this work in 2024. The Town is advancing a Warrant Article to fund the balance of construction costs. Following a successful vote the Town intends to award the project to the selected bidder on or before March 15, 2024. The Owner will consider all timely received questions and requests for change and if reasonable and appropriate will issue addendum(s) to clarify or modify this Bid. Answers to Bidder submitted questions and other addenda will be emailed to registered plan holders by end of day Thursday February 29, 2024 Contract time for the project will be calculated in days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed to meet the following deadlines: Substantial Completion - Friday August 16, 2024 Final Completion - Friday September 27, 2024 Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 for each calendar day beyond the date established for Substantial Completion and $500 for each calendar day beyond the date established for Final Completion. BIDDERS will be required to provide bid security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. The successful BIDDER must furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and a separate one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within ten (10) days following notification of the acceptance of his/her bid. The project will be awarded to the CONTRACTOR who is the most reasonable and responsible low bidder. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, or to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the OWNER. No BIDDER may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
