The County of Volusia, Department of Public Works, Road & Bridge Division, is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the Buckingham Drive Exfiltration System project in Ormond Beach, Florida. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. Bidders shall bid on all items in order to be considered responsive. The contractor shall provide a complete job, including all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials and performing all operations necessary for painting as specified within the plans. The County of Volusia, Public Works/Road & Bridge is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the construction of Buckingham Drive Exfiltration System located at Ormond Beach, Florida. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. A pre-bid meeting will be held at no value at no value on no value. While this is not mandatory, all interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate. It is the responsibility of the bidder to become familiar with the site. This project is funded by the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CLFRF) of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The project is identified in the Halifax River Stormwater Outfall Assessment (2015 Study) as a stormwater best management practice (BMP) that once implemented would work towards meeting the total maximum daily load (TMDL) goals for reducing nutrients to the Halifax River. The project entails replacing the existing reinforced concrete pipe along Buckingham Drive with an exfiltration trench, installing a weir structure at the downstream end of the proposed exfiltration, and retrofitting the outfall at the Halifax River with the installation of a nutrient separating baffle box.
