This Contract will be a regional contract that includes counties within District 7. The Contractor shall perform Sign Repair and Replacement Operations pursuant to the terms of this Contract and at the direction of the Department. The Contractor shall provide a letter to the Department at the time of bid, from a surety authorized to do business in the State of Florida verifying the Contractor is bondable in the State of Florida. For the purposes of this Contract the dollar amount is established at $500,000.00. Awarded Contractor must execute documents within five (5) calendar days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays, with General Liability and Worker's Comp insurance. No quantities are guaranteed and there will be no unit cost adjustment for quantities required over or under the estimated quantities. Prequalification required. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00. A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects. All work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, special Provisions of the State of Florida Department of Transportation.
