As of March 29, 2024, this project was awarded to Asphalt Construction with Nally & Gibson Georgetown, LLC. dba Hamilton Hinkle Paving Company, awarded amount is not available. The City of Georgetown, Kentucky (the City") is seeking a vendor to provide labor and equipment necessary for Asphalt Construction for calendar year 2024. The vendor must enter into the City's standard contract for Asphalt Construction. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions, if issued, will be posted to the "Public Purchase" portal for the specific project. Failure of any bidder to receive any such supplementation or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from any obligation under his/her bid as submitted. All posts so issued shall become part of the ITB and/or agreement documents. All inquiries must be submitted via the "Public Purchase" portal: http://www.publicpurchase.com/. PAVING ACTIVITIES: 1. Milling of existing asphalt surface (milling depths will be determined on a project-byproject basis - typically milling will involve recovering the existing gutter elevation for new pavement as well as providing a minimum 2% slope from crown to edge). Contractor is permitted to adjust milling depths to decrease areas where ponding of water may occur. 2. Excavation and removal of existing gravel roadbed and compact subgrade. 3. Edge Key at Joints. 4. Manhole and Valve cover adjustments (City, through GMWSS, will furnish needed risers). 5. Application of Tack. 6. Leveling and Wedging (surface material - est. at approx. 30% of AS course). 7. Sweeping or cleaning of area to be surfaced. 8. Placement of 8" DGA Base course(s). 9. Placement of 3" Asphalt Base course(s). 10. Placement of 1 1/2 " Asphalt overlay. 11. As needed potholing and patching. Pothole shall be cleaned, joint squared, and interface treated with tack oil prior to placement and mechanical compaction. 12. Replacement and installation of Traffic Signal Detector loops to match existing. MISCELLANEOUS: 1. Contractor shall provide a minimum 48-hour written notification (vehicle or door tags etc.) to owners of vehicles parked at adjacent property owners' in the construction zone and on-street parked vehicles prior to work. 2. Any damage to private or public property caused by the Contractor in connection with work performed under this ITB will be the responsibility of the contractor to repair at no additional cost to the property owner or the City. 3. Contractor shall provide traffic control measures compliant with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). 4. Stormwater/erosion control protection measures shall be installed where required. 5. Project site clean-up is the responsibility of the contractor and shall restore the area to the existing condition prior to construction.
