Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clive, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor necessary to construct HMA overlays on Hawthorn Drive andNW145thStreet in the City of Clive, Iowa. Project items include full depth patching, milling, HMA overlay, intake reconstruction, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, fixture adjustments, traffic control and restoration. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. Work on the improvements shall commence on or before the late start date of July 22, 2024. Thirty (30) working days have been assigned to complete the scope of work associated with the Base Bid project. If the additional Alternate A work is awarded, forty (40) working days have been assigned to complete the scope of work associated with the Base Bid plus Alternate A project. Work on Saturdays is not required, but a working day will be charged accordingly if the Contractor elects to work on Saturday. Work on Sundays will not be allowed. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said completion provisions will be assessed at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day there after that the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten(10)percent of the total bid amount. The City of Clive reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
