Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clive, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and road / highway.

This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor necessary for reconstruction of a shared use trail along Little Walnut Creek between the corporate limit with Urbandale (153rd Street) and Alices Road. Project items include pavement, mulch trails, storm sewer adjustments, a boulder structure near a wetland, and associated work. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. . Work on the improvements shall commence on the date specified in a written Notice to Proceed. The anticipated date for written Notice to Proceed is June 2, 2025 based on completion of streambank work under separate contract immediately adjacent to the proposed trail corridor. Fifty (50) working days thereafter have been assigned to complete the scope of work associated with the project. Work on Saturdays is not required, but a working day will be charged accordingly if the Contractor elects to work on Saturday. Work on Sundays will not be allowed. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said completion provisions will be assessed at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten (10) percent of the total bid amount. The City of Clive reserves the right to reject any and all bids. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
