The Work generally consists of bringing the Central Fire Station and Fire Station #3 into full ADA compliance. The estimate of cost for this project is $565,500. Central Fire And Fire Station #3 Ada Renovations And Located At 713 1 St Ave Se, Cedar Rapids, Ia And 3520 Crestwood Dr Nw, Cedar Rapids, Ia Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Contract Time Information Start Date: March 13, 2024 Final Completion: September 30, 2024 Bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code, in the amount of Five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 45 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened. The work for this project shall be performed according to Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS), 2023 edition. SUDAS documents may be found online. If there is a discrepancy between SUDAS and the City's Bid Documents, the City's Bid Documents take precedence.
