Prequalification of Insulation, Framing & Drywall Subcontractor Subject to conditions prescribed by the undersigned, subcontractors are invited to prequalify for the following project: 5493 ACTRI LL2 NON-LICENSED BUILD OUT UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO ALIGN BUILDERS, INC. PROJECT NO.: 230408 for the following bid package: BID PKG. #: 06.01 TRADE: Insulation/Framing/Drywall LICENSE TYPE: C2 & C9 or B ESTIMATED CONST. COST: $173,045 Align Builders, Inc. is the CM/Contractor for this UC San Diego project and selected through a previous recruitment. Align Builders, Inc. is intending to prequalify and bid on this package. The successful Subcontractor Bidder shall sign a Subcontract Agreement directly with Align Builders, Inc. and shall be bound by all the terms of the contract between the Owner and CM/Contractor. Subcontractors will be required to be properly licensed by the State of California Contractors State License Board with appropriate license for the specified work. Project scope consists of expanding clinical services currently located on Level 1 of ACTRI into an existing Lower Level 2 shell space, L2E600 and L2E11. The proposed area will be designated as a non-licensed clinic (non-OSHPD). Scope will include associated modifications to fire protection, mechanical, and electrical systems to accommodate proposed layout. Main programmatic components include but are not limited to, a series of exam / infusion rooms, lobby, staff breakroom, gender inclusive restrooms, and support spaces. Build-out area of work is located above an existing MRI suite. Project will require coordination with MRI schedule for any high vibration work. Construction Duration: June 2024 - December 2024 The project will be constructed by Subcontractors each working under a separate contract with Align Builders, Inc. Overall the University seeks Contractors with demonstrated experience in renovations to operational clinical, medical or laboratory facilities with careful consideration to noise, and vibration sensitivities while research is ongoing. Specific experience requirements include critical path scheduled work with other trades and/or end-users. Bid Package #06.01 Insulation, Framing & Drywall: Scope includes steel framed wall and ceiling assemblies, drywall, insulation and finishing. Includes work framing around low hanging ductwork for ceiling support. Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $1,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years.
