Notice of requirement for affirmative action to ensure equal employment (Governor's Order of January 27, 1972) Bidders' attention is called to the provision for "Equal employment opportunity clause" and the "Standard federal equal employment construction contract specifications". Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Payment for labor as it applies to this work shall not be less than the amount established by the U.S. Department of Labor. Bidder's attention is further called to the provisions of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended (12 U.S.C. 1701 u) (Section 3), and are required to comply with all requirements as relates to Section 3, including training and employment opportunities for Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns for this Section 3 covered project. The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to re-advertise our bids, and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejections, re-advertisement or waiver is in the best interest of the Housing Authority. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority.
