Site work for a water / sewer project in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Authority expects to award a contract to the firm that has the best qualifications to serve as the CMGC and brings the necessary qualifications to oversee and perform the tasks required for completion of this project on March 13, 2024. CMGC Services are expected to commence near that date and be completed by the end of the first quarter 2025. Prospective contractors are required to submit a list of qualifications, value engineering, and a guaranteed maximum price. The Authority reserves the right to act in its best interest and may terminate, modify, or suspend the process, reject any or all proposals, modify the terms and conditions of this selection process and/or waive informalities of any submission. The Falcon Area Water and Wastewater Authority, a Title 32 Special District is a quasi- municipal government and political subdivision of the State of Colorado, is in the final design phase of a project to construct and install a drinking water treatment plant known as the Sterling Ranch Water Treatment Plant. The Sterling Ranch Water Treatment Plant will have a capacity of three thousand gallons per minute (3,000 gpm). It will source water from two onsite groundwater wells, three wells located off site approximately 2,350 ft to the west, and several more wells to the north via the Bar-X pipeline. The treatment process will consist of pre-chlorination and filtration for iron and manganese removal. The treatment building will be constructed of metal and approximately 5,000 square feet in area. The building will feature an office, restroom, and breakroom in addition to the primary treatment room. Outside the building, a 35,500-gallon buried HDPE backwash reclaim tank will be constructed. In addition, a complex network of yard piping including raw water, backwash supply, backwash return, and finished water pipes will be constructed.
