This Request for Tender (RFT) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Waterloo (the City) to prospective bidders to submit tender for Albert McCormick Community Centre (AMCC) Sportsplex & WPL McCormick Branch Library Renovation and Expansion Project (Phase B), as further described in Description of Bid (the Work). Renovation to the existing community centre to provide for the following: Sprinklering of the east ice rink. Renovation to the existing main building entrance to provide a continuous barrier-free entry vestibule, renovations to existing staff offices and work rooms on the ground floor and mezzanine level, new staff washroom/change room on the mezzanine level, renovations to the existing concessions area and provision for new custodian room, storage room, feeding room, sensory room on the ground floor and provision for a new prayer room on the mezzanine level. Construction of the new building addition may commence prior to January 2027, provided the required site plan and building permit have been received. Only prequalified General Contractors, qualified under RFPQ24-09 - General Contractors, Mechanical and Electrical Trade Contractors for the Albert McCormick Community Centre Project may submit a bid in response to these RFT Documents.
