The City of Phoenix is seeking up to five qualified consultants to provide plan review and/or inspections for vertical transportation equipment services for the Planning and Development Department on an as-needed basis from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. The consultants will be responsible for providing services to the Planning and Development Department, including, but not limited to equipment plan review and/or periodic inspections per ASME Elevator Code for work as submitted to the City by private property owners for permit issuance purposes. The contract elevator inspector must be certified as a Qualified Elevator Inspector I (QEI-1) by an organization that is accredited by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. See Exhibit A attached for 2024 Required Certification for On-Call Consultants. Individuals accepting this assignment will work under the direction of the Planning and Development Department. Categories of work include: o Traction Elevators o Hydraulic Elevators o Escalators o Lifts o Dumbwaiters The consultant will provide vehicles, fuel, laptop and cellular phones for the field inspection team. Cell phones and laptop/tablet must have full field internet connectivity. Inspections must be entered in real time during the workday and consultant must provide technical support for their equipment. The City of Phoenix reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Statement of Qualifications received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective Statements of Qualifications received.
