Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Venice, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project consists of designing, permitting, granting of easements (if necessary), and construction of approximately 3,500 feet of 6, 8, and 12-inch potable water lines. These lines consist of four segments, which will loop and connect portions of the County's water distribution system. Three segments are located along US 41 near the Gulf Gate area and the fourth segment is located along Jackson Road in Venice. One of the three segments along US 41 will be bid as a standalone project with the remaining three segments being bid together. Due to FDOT planned sidewalk improvements along US 41 within the same corridor, the projects are being fast-tracked to avoid conflicts with FDOT's work. As of February 13, 2024, this project is included in Sarasota County's Fiscal Year 2024-2028 CIP and funding for construction is allotted for FY 2025 and FY 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
