Renovation of a water / sewer project in Clinton Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

General Scope of Work or Purpose of Solicitation This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is being released by the New Jersey Water Supply Authority, hereinafter referred to as the "Authority," to obtain bids for Replacement of Traveling Water Screens at the South Branch Pumping Station, including, but not limited to: demolition and removal of four (4) traveling water screens from the pump station's intake forebays, inclusive of site preparation and access into the confined space throughout the project, furnishing and installing additional stop logs, furnishing and installing four (4) new traveling water screens into existing spaces, and mechanical and duty testing following installation, Clinton Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey (Project). The work required includes the provision of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary as required by the contract documents. Any question(s), which in the opinion of the Authority require(s) interpretations or clarification, will be answered by Addenda in accordance with, paragraph G below. The Authority will not be responsible for oral interpretations or clarifications that anyone presumes to make on their behalf. Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Meeting A Mandatory pre-bid meeting will NOT be held for this project. Site visit to the South Branch Pumping Station, 512 River Road, Annandale, NJ 08801 is encouraged. Any clarification(s) or change(s) which may be deemed necessary by the Authority will be addressed in an Addendum to the Invitation for Bids in accordance with paragraph G above. Prevailing Wage/Public Works Contractor Registration Bidders shall agree to pay not less than the applicable wage rate to workers employed in the performance of any contract for the project, in accordance with the rate determination by the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. These provisions are set forth in Section III Article XXVII thereof. The New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act requires all contractors, subcontractors and lower tier subcontractors who bid on or engage in any contract for public work defined in N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.26 be first registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Any questions regarding the registration process should be directed to the Division of Wage and Hour Compliance at (609) 292-9464. - SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall complete all work as specified or indicated in the contract documents listed in Article II below. The work is generally described as follows: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for the Replacement of Traveling Water Screens at the South Branch Pumping Station, including, but not limited to: demolition and removal of four (4) traveling water screens from the pump station's intake forebays, inclusive of site preparation and access into the confined space throughout the project, furnishing and installing additional stop logs, furnishing and installing four (4) new traveling water screens into existing spaces, and mechanical and duty testing following installation, at the South Branch Pumping Station, Clinton Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey (Project). The work required includes the provision of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary as required by the contract documents. The work shall be performed under the inspection and supervision of Authority representative Alex Michalchuk.
