As of June 26, 2025, the project was awarded to Fischer contracting, with an awarded amount of $591,308.67. This project involves improvements to Regional Road. Asphalt base repair consists of 4,000 SY milling, 6 thick and 1,500 Tons HMA 19M64 Base Course. Additional work includes 16,985 SY Milling, 2 Average Depth & 2,120 Tons HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course. Limits of Base Repair to be determined after the initial 2 milling is complete. Asphalt driveway aprons, driveway repairs, asphalt swales, asphalt curb and granite block curb are included. Modifications to existing storm sewer inlets and manholes are scheduled in compliance with the NJDEP Storm water Regulations. If Bidders fail to fully understand any clause or requirement of the Contract Documents, inquiry must be made of the Engineer for an interpretation in advance of the submission of the bid. Also, Bidders are required to promptly notify the Engineer of any ambiguity, inconsistency, or error which they may discover upon examination of the Contract Documents or of the site and local conditions. Such inquiries or notices must be in writing and must be received by the Engineer at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, weekends and holidays excepted. Inquiries which are received less than ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids may not be answered. Answers will be issued in the form of addenda mailed or delivered to all parties known by the Engineer as having received a set of the Contract Documents. Only those questions which are answered by written addenda are considered to be binding. Oral and any other interpretation which may be given will be considered as having no legal effect on either the Bidder or the Owner. Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21 CONSENT OF SURETY: Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. The Clinton Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of Clinton Township and fairness of the bidding process.
