Site work for a water / sewer project in Clinton Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of April 9, 2025** This project is estimated between $1,700,000.00 - $1,775,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Preparation of Contractor's access to the site. Installation of temporary safety fencing, silt fence, hay bales, dewatering devices, stabilized construction entrance, tree protection and any other required temporary Soil Erosion and Sediment Control devices. Removal of trees and vegetation within the limits of work shown on the Contract plans and as directed by the Engineer. o Installation ofnecessary control ofwater and dewatering devices to control the water flows from Echo Hill Pond to maintain a dry working environment. Installation of a cofferdam (i.e. sand bags, "Portadam", steel sheet piling, etc., or approved equal), as necessary, on the Echo Hill Pond and the surrounding water bodies to dewater the areas. Maintenance of water flow shall be coordinated with the Engineer and the County. Lowering ofthe Echo Hill Pond is restricted by NJDEP (see conditions in the approved permits). o Demolition and disposal of existing concrete spillway structure. o Demolition and disposal ofthe exiting stilling basin and removal and disposal ofthe existing 12-inch diameter pipe and floordrain between the stilling basin and Echo Hill Pond. o Installation oftemporary sheeting at locations shown on the plans or as required. o Excavation ofsilt and unsuitable material in the Pond upstream ofthe proposed spillway structure and at the location ofthe proposed spillway, as shown on the plans and as delineated by the Engineer. o Construction of a new reinforced concrete spillway structure, including concrete footings, sidewalls, spillway headwall, apron slabs and the end sill. o Construction of a new reinforced concrete stilling basin, including concrete footings, sidewalls, apron slab, ductile iron pipes, headwalls, and trash racks o Furnishing and Installation of a low level outlet wall thimble within the new spillway headwall for mounting the proposed 18-inch by 18-inch sluice gate, sluice gate appurtenances, stem, operating mechanism, and trash rack. o Remove exiting timber stop logs at upstream weir, clean weir inlet and furnish and install aluminum stop logs / flashboards. Remove trees in channel at weir and in channel leading between weir and stilling basin and rebuild / reset top blocks of existing diversion channel walls adjacent to weir. o Engineering design, fabrication, furnishing and installing the proposed operator platform above the proposed sluice gate. o Furnishing and placement ofriprap and coarse aggregate layer downstream ofthe proposed spillway structure. o Engineering design, furnishing, fabrication and erection of the new prefabricated pedestrian bridge on the new spillway. o Furnishing, fabrication and installation ofthe new black coated chain-link fence on the new spillway. o Excavation for placement ofthe proposed toe drain and sand and gravel filter materials along the toe ofthe earthen dam embankment. o Installation oftoe drain penetrations at the proposed spillway side walls with animal guards. o Excavation to achieve required benching shown on the drawings, and placement of compacted fill to regrade the earthen embankment as shown on the drawings. o Construction ofthe Crushed Stone Pedestrian Path as shown on the plans. o Grading of existing soil and earth piles as directed o Placement of topsoil, fertilizing, seeding and erosion control matting on the new embankment and elsewhere to restore the site as directed by the Engineer. o Removal ofthe cofferdams and all control of water devices, and allowing the lake (if allowed to be lowered) to fill to normal level. o Coordination and the performing of all required tests. o Removal of all soil erosion and sediment control devices. o Demobilization, restoration (including all areas temporarily disturbed due to construction activities), and cleanup of project site to the satisfaction ofthe Engineer and the County.
