Pleasant is accepting statements of qualifications led by a licensed general contractor in SC to provide professional CM-R services for the construction of the Rifle Range Road Park. This project will include the construction of recreation amenities including rectangular sports fields, a multipurpose facility/gymnasium, tennis and pickle ball courts, basketball courts, picnic pavilions, etc. all located within the park boundaries. Upon award of a Contract under this solicitation the person, partnership, association, or corporation to whom the award is made must comply with the laws of South Carolina, which require such person or entity to be authorized or licensed to do business in this State. Notwithstanding the fact that applicable statutes may exempt or exclude the successful Offeror from business in this State, by submission of this signed submittal, the Offeror agrees to subject itself to the jurisdiction and process of the courts of the State of South Carolina as to all matters and disputes arising or to arise under the Contract and the performance thereof, including any questions as to the liability for taxes, licenses, or fees levied by the State. Written notification must be received no later than 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. No allowance will be made for oversight or misunderstandings by the Offeror after Proposals are received. One hundred percent (100%) payment and performance bonds are required for the Project. Contractors must provide a signed statement from their bonding company (Surety) verifying their bonding limit and certifying that, based on present circumstances, the Surety will provide 100% payment and performance bonds for the Contractor in connection with the Project. The initial construction budget for this project is $30 million dollars, and based on the preliminary project schedule, the project team expects construction to commence in late summer, 2025 and substantial completion to occur in January 2027.
