Renovation of a detention facility in Clifton, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
SCOPE a. Removal of the existing frames and doors: i. Remove the existing frames, doors, hinges, and locks. ii. Dispose of the removed frames, doors, hinges, and locks. b. Installment of the new frames and doors: i. Provide new 12 gauge type 303 stainless steel frames sized and prepped for new hinges and door locks as required. ii. Due to age, condition, and varying sizes of the door openings, Contractor shall be responsible for all exact measurements needed. iii. Measurements of the shower doors that will be provided by the State and installed by the Contractor are listed at the end of these specifications. The quantities are as follows: a. SDL1-2415-LH = six (6) each b. SDL2-2415-LH= two (2) each C. SDR1-2232-RH= three (3) each d. SDL1-2232-LH = one (1) each e. Total = twelve (12) doors iv. Installation of the pre-purchased doors, hardware, glass, and locks in accordance with industry standards guaranteeing precise alignment, proper fit, and optimal functionality. v. Prior to completing the installation and leaving the work site, installing technician(s) shall test the 12 doors to ensure all are operational. This shall be completed with a representative of SCCF present. vi. Any defects discovered during this testing shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to fix. All work shall to be performed in in a professional and neat manner. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing existing doors/frames and installing new doors/frames. New frames shall be anchored through the frame into the block wall with expansion anchors and grouted in place. Doors shall swing in same direction as the current doors. The Contractor shall be responsible for all clean up after each visit. The Contractor shall be responsible for disposing of existing doors/frames, hardware, and all other job-related debris. The State will be responsible for supplying the shower doors and hardware for the Contractor to install.
