Renovation of a fire / police facility in Fallbrook, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

1. Roofing and Siding Replacement for Rainbow Fire Center, 8215 Rainbow Heights Road, Fallbrook, CA 92928 2. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to remove existing roofing and replace with new metal roofing and siding. Question Deadline 02/28/2024 All questions should be emailed in writing to gloria.pietromonaco@fire.ca.gov. The DVBE Participation Program applies, and a three percent (3%) goal is required for this IFB . As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), and contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of 25 percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs or MBs (if applicable), are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 2, in this IFB for requirements. A. Kitchen Roofing and Siding Replacement. 1) Contractor shall reference Attachment 3 - Roofing and Sheet Metal Specifications for the following: a) Contractor shall install approximately six thousand (6,000) square feet of metal roofing including vented ridge per above specifications, details, and manufacturer requirements. b) Contractor shall install approximately three thousand (3,000) square feet of metal siding per above specifications. Color and siding profile to match new siding on other buildings onsite. c) Contractor shall install approximately six hundred (600) square feet of metal soffit per above specifications and details. d) Contractor shall install approximately two hundred forty (240) linear feet of rain gutter (including leaf guards) per above specifications and details. e) Contractor shall install twelve (12) new downspouts per above specifications and details. f) Contractor shall demolish and dispose of existing underlayment to expose plywood sheeting. g) Contractor shall replace degraded American Plywood Association (APA) rated structural (one) 1 plywood sheeting as needed and approved by CALFIRE representative (line item quote to include assumed 50% sheeting replacement). h) Contractor shall be responsible for all roof penetrations and roofing openings to be weathered and installed per manufacturer installation specifications (including plumbing, venting, mechanical (HVAC curbs). B. Chief Quarters Roofing and Siding Replacement. 1) Contractor shall reference Attachment 3 - Roofing and Sheet Metal Specifications for the following: a) Contractor shall install approximately nine hundred (900) square feet of metal roofing including vented ridge per above specifications and details. b) Contractor shall install approximately one thousand (1,000) square feet of metal siding per above specifications. Color and siding profile to match new siding on other buildings onsite. c) Contractor shall install approximately two hundred (200) square feet of metal soffit per above specifications and details. d) Contractor shall install approximately sixty (60) linear feet of rain gutter (including leaf guards) per above specifications and details. e) Contractor shall install four (4) new downspouts per above specifications and details. f) Contractor shall demolish and dispose of existing underlayment to expose plywood sheeting. g) Contractor shall replace all existing plywood sheeting with three quarter ( 3/4 ) inch CDX. h) Contractor shall remove and replace approximately one hundred (100) linear feet of fascia board with new two (2) inch by eight (8) feet rough sawn spruce fascia board. New fascia to be painted with two coats of primer prior to installation. i) Contractor shall be responsible for all roof penetrations and roofing openings to be weathered and installed per manufacturer installation specifications (including plumbing, venting, mechanical HVAC curbs). C. Contractor shall be responsible for all costs for the demolition and removal of existing roofing, trash, and debris upon completion of work. D. Contractor shall field verify all measurements/quantities prior to submission of bid. Failure to properly account for required quantities shall not be considered as reason for cost increase. E. CAL FIRE will provide construction water source, electrical source, and bathroom facilities during the working hours of the term agreement.
